truthout The board has selected the Tel Sultan neighborhood in Rafah as the first area where it will “direct” Palestinians in Gaza to enter in the coming weeks. Israel Hayom states that multinational forces under the board’s control will arrive in the area with “nonlethal weapons” in order to “maintain order in the humanitarian zones” while the Israeli military will expand its control over other areas of Gaza. These so-called “humanitarian zones” are enclaves facilitating the further concentration of Palestinians in Gaza into smaller and smaller areas as Israel deepens its control over the Strip.

More than 1,100 Israeli military and settler violations were recorded across the occupied West Bank in just one week, according to the Moata Centre. The documented violations include raids, attacks on Palestinian communities, property destruction, assaults on civilians, and other violations carried out across different areas of the occupied territory.

Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Hossein Afshin said recent attacks caused an estimated $300 million in damage to Iran’s research infrastructure, with knowledge-based companies also suffering significant losses.
