Friday’s explosion flattened central Gaza’s Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, which had already been severely damaged by Israeli air strikes since October 2023.

The third floor of the hospital was previously hit in an Israeli air strike on October 30, 2023.

Fuel shortages forced the hospital to shut down on November 1, 2023, with the warning the lives of 70 patients were at risk. It later emerged that four patients died at the hospital due to a lack of medical care.

The Israeli army made similar claims in 2023 and 2024 about al-Shifa Hospital in City. After the two invasions of in November 2023 and March 2024, no evidence could be provided to substantiate these claims.

                Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced that Israeli forces detonated Noura Al Kaabi Kidney Dialysis Center, the only dialysis hospital in northern . The center served patients suffering from kidney failure across the region.
