US authorities deported eight Palestinians from the United States to the occupied West Bank on a private jet believed to be owned by an Israeli American businessman, in a move described by security officials as highly unusual compared to standard deportation procedures carried out on commercial flights.

Sources stated that the operation was coordinated directly between US and Israeli authorities, including the Israeli General Security Service Shabak. Upon arrival in Israel, the deportees were handed over to officers from the Israeli Prison Service accompanied by officials from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before being transferred to a military checkpoint near the Modi’in Illit settlement, where they were allowed to enter the West Bank.
