Israel has urged Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to retract his pledge to comply with an ICC arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits Canada.

Carney confirmed last week that he would honor his predecessor Justin Trudeau’s commitment to arrest Netanyahu on war crimes charges.

Israeli government spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian called on Carney to reconsider and welcome Netanyahu, “the leader of the only Jewish and democratic state in the Middle East.”

The ICC issued arrest warrants last year over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, which Israel rejects.

The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics announced that 96% of Gaza’s residents are suffering from severe food insecurity due to the ongoing blockade and shortages of essential resources and food supplies.

The report highlighted that families in the Strip face significant difficulties in accessing sufficient and nutritious food, leading to increased rates of malnutrition among children, women, and the elderly.

Experts warned that the continuation of this situation threatens the stability of Palestinian society in Gaza and exacerbates the humanitarian crisis, calling on the international community to take urgent action to provide food aid and secure basic livelihoods for the affected population.

I've been busy the past few days filming journalistic materials. [Below are some of the photos I took for a report]

Nearly one million of Gaza’s 1.1 million olive trees have been destroyed—bulldozed by Israeli forces, left to die from thirst, or trapped behind military lines. In his new report for Drop Site, Gaza journalist Mohamed Suleiman reports from Al-Mawasi and Khan Younis, where farmers are enduring their third lost harvest and an olive oil industry on the brink of extinction.

What was once a source of income and identity for more than 10,000 families has been gutted: presses shattered, irrigation gone, and surviving trees cut for firewood. “These trees are life itself,” one farmer said. “When it dies, it feels like another disaster.”

Agricultural experts say the devastation is systematic, designed to erase Gaza’s ability to feed itself. Rebuilding will take years—if the ceasefire lasts long enough for new trees to take root.
