Gaza's Rafah border crossing was supposed to reopen in October as part of the ceasefire agreement. But the border remains closed, keeping Gaza shut off from the outside world and preventing families from reuniting with loves ones.

Since mid-October, Israel has carried out an assassination campaign in Gaza targeting resistance leaders. Contacts within the resistance say Israel is trying to lure them back into direct confrontation to avoid fulfilling its ceasefire obligations.

Hundreds gathered in central London yesterday to demand the release of 33 people imprisoned across the UK for direct action protests against Elbit Systems, an Israeli arms company supplying weapons to the Israeli military.

The protest, organised by Prisoners for Palestine, focused on six detainees currently on hunger strike demanding basic rights, including Qesser Zuhrah and Amu Gib, who have been on hunger strike for more than 46 days. Demonstrators remained peaceful but faced a heavy police presence, with officers at one point preventing people from leaving the area.

Campaigners say the case reflects the growing criminalization of Palestine solidarity in the UK and the ongoing pressure on activists opposing arms supplies to Israel.
