start from terminal

MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland dbus-run-session gnome-shell

"logout" to tty

killall gnome-shell

for notifications to work (e.g. dino)

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends gjs

Install nautilus

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends nautilus

Qt apps look and feel

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends qt5ct adwaita-qt

add to ~/.profile

export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct

Install network-manager

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends network-manager wpasupplicant

gnome-keyring (untested)

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends gnome-keyring libpam-gnome-keyring 

start gnome-keyring

  • There is a script (I haven't tested). More.

• Night-light

• Logout button

  • Needs GDM (is there a way to change the button command e.g. "killall gnome-shell" ?
